Job Description

Spectrum Software & Consulting Ltd. (SSCL) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Test Automation Engineer Intern to join our engineering team. This internship offers hands-on experience in building and maintaining automated test solutions while working on real-world projects that directly impact our products and users.

As a Test Automation Engineer Intern, you will collaborate closely with senior engineers to design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality by integrating automated tests into our CI pipelines and supporting continuous improvement of our testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test automation strategies
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts covering functional, regression, and performance testing
• Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration pipelines to ensure every code push meets quality standards
• Execute and monitor automated test suites across different stages of development
• Identify, document, and track software defects; work closely with developers to resolve issues
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving automation frameworks and tools
• Continuously research and learn new tools, technologies, and best practices in test automation

Requirements

• Strong interest in software testing and automation
• Basic programming knowledge in Python, Java, or JavaScript
• Familiarity with test automation tools such as Cypress, k6, or similar frameworks
• Basic understanding of CI pipelines and how automated tests integrate into them
• Hands-on experience with Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

• Exposure to REST API testing
• Basic knowledge of performance testing concepts
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development environments

Compensation

• Monthly stipend: BDT 15,000 – 25,000 (based on experience and skillset)
